Antique Victorian Silver combination Vinaigrette -Scent Bottle

This exceptional Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Vinaigrette / Scent Bottle is realistically modelled in the form of a curved hunting horn. The body of the horn is embellished with applied broad girdles which provide anchor points for the original link chain. The “mouth piece” end of the horn is the screw fit cover to the scent bottle. The “bell” of the horn is fitted with a hinged cover which is engraved with the crest of the Luxmore family. The cover opens to reveal the vinaigrette , the gilded grille has pierced decoration of leaves and flowers. Span 4 inches, 10.16 cm, Width of lid 1.38 inches , 3.5 cm
